About Eddie
Eddie graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy
in 1999. While in school, he enrolled in a seminar in
Chair Massage, and in 2000 began to offer his services
to local high tech firms in the greater Pittsburgh area. In a
brief period of time, he was working in 7 companies and
learning about repetitive stress injuries in
technology workers.
Following the chair massage
seminar Eddie studied Michael's Young's Muscle Release
Technique where he learned how to safely stretch all
major muscle groups. He then began an in-depth study
of anatomy and movement which he combined with his
deep tissue massage and stretching.
Upon completing
his formal studies, Eddie opened an office in Sq. Hill
where he is currently located.
In 2003, he began an
investigation into the relationship between aging and
frailty drawing on important work done by the National
Institute of Aging. As a result of this interest, he
began working with older adults and developed a number
of programs teaching flexibility and weight training
to this growing population.
Today Eddie's massage practice consists of Relaxing
Massage, with an emphasis on Deep Tissue Work,
Stretching and Injury Prevention. He continues his
work with older adults.
